The Giants’ defense showed up a few times in the Red Zone, but for the most part, were diced up between the 20s and the constant pressure on Daniel Jones was just too much to make this much of a game. Injuries for the Giants didn’t help, but I’m not sure a couple of linemen + Saquon would have been enough here.
No surprises on the offensive side of the ball for SF. YAC from Deebo, great running and versatility as a pass catcher from CMC, and contributions from Kittle, Mitchell, Bell, and Jennings. I still want to see them play another good team.

The 49ers have the Cardinals at home next week (should be around -14) so we likely will have to wait one more week before we can see just how good this team actually is. The following week though… Sunday Night Football should be a dooooozy.
Not a bad spot for a regrouping by the Giants with a Monday Night game up next giving them 11 days between contests. 1-2 is NOT that big of a hole to dig out of and an NFC wildcard spot still has to be the goal. Some good injury updates over the next week and a half will be helpful.
So ... @TaylorRooks just reported on @NFLonPrime that Saquon Barkley told her his right ankle sprain IS, in fact, a "high ankle sprain." And that not playing tonight was simply a pain tolerance issue. Next game isn't until the following Monday at home vs. Seattle.

Where we’re at on both teams:
SF: San Francisco has dropped 30 points three times to start the season, is a top-five team on both sides of the ball, and is the betting favorite to win the Super Bowl. We’re still not sure if they have a good player at the most important position on the field.
Brock Purdy has never lost a regular season game, and we still have no idea if he's any good.
Kyle Shanahan is an absolute magician

NYG: This is fair play by Nick. If you take out the context of how bad the Giants looked at times, a 1-2 start was always going to be the most likely record for the Giants after three games. They’ve gotten rag-dolled by two great teams and dropped 31 second-half points on one of the worst teams in the league. Outside of the injuries, I’m not sure we’ve learned very much about this squad yet. Get healthy, sort out the WRs, and win some games.
Giants lost to the two teams they were supposed to lose to and beat the team they were supposed to beat. Season starts next Monday night against Seattle

Betting:
I mentioned it on Twitter, but it was brutal watching the Giants’ offense with a Darius Slayton receiving yards over bet. He got the targets and catches, but just fell a few yards short.
Halftime did find a winner with the “I don’t care that they are favored, they’re too deep to fail” look on San Fran -3. Giants marched down the field and scored, but that would be the end of it from them.
Last week: Zach Wilson under 178.5 passing yards đź’°đź’°đź’°
This week, our friend at 4for4 has us fading his namesake:
James Conner (ARZ) under 56.5 rushing yards (-115 DK/MGM/CZRS/B365)
“The Cowboys are #1 in Run D DVOA and allowing just 3.56 yards per carry despite playing against Saquon Barkley, Breece Hall, and Dalvin Cook. Neither Cook nor Hall even crossed 10 rushing yards. The Cardinals have the 5th-worst adjusted line yards per carry (3.26) according to FO, just one spot ahead of the Jets who were stymied by the Cowboys last week and more than a full yard worse than the Giants.
The matchup is super tough but Conner also faces massive game script concerns. The Cardinals were winning against the Giants for a big portion of the game and were competitive against Washington. I would be flabbergasted if that is the case here. Maybe they try to run the ball to start but it seems unlikely they have much success, and if they fall behind by 2+ scores as the spread suggests, it's unlikely they stick with it.”

Last week’s teaser rankings did a pretty nice job. Nearly all the math-based legs got home, with the Bears somehow squandering things at the end vs. Tampa (I did rank that one dead last for the record).
The official teaser of the week for Sunday morning was a clean no-doubter that you could have bet a straight-up ATS parlay on instead (hell even a pleaser cashed).
Also sitting on half a winner from Monday Night Football with the Steelers taking care of business and leaving me with the Ravens to finish things up.
This week has a bunch that are sitting awfully close to being in range. The Rams, Titans, and Falcons are all three-point underdogs and I would not blame you one bit for throwing them into a teaser even if they stay there.
Not as many as last week, but as always, keep an eye on bets that may move into range, I’ll list anything that’s going into the teaser pool on Sunday morning.
Week 3 Teaser Rankings (Best to Worst)
New Orleans +1.5 @ Green Bay (teased to +7.5)
Pittsburgh +2.5 @ Las Vegas (teased to +8.5)
Baltimore -8 vs Indianapolis (teased to -2)
Jacksonville -8.5 vs. Houston (teased to -1.5)
NY Jets +2.5 vs. New England (teased to +8.5)
I’ll check back in on Sunday morning with the bets for the week, good luck if you’re betting on college ball tomorrow, and do try to enjoy this gorgeous fall weather! Autumn is here!
It’s that time of year! 🍂

What’s on the Docket for Sunday?
Updated Injuries that matter, ALL of my bets for the day, a free defensive tackle prop from Noonan (won last week, again), and anything else I think might help on gameday.
