Weather ⛈

  • MIN @ SEA - Another rainy one in the Pacific Northwest. 90% chance of rain for this one.

  • DET @ CHI - Winds of 15+ with gusts 20-30 on a cold day in Chicago

  • NE @ BUF - The winds won’t be kicking up, thankfully, but the temps will hover around 10 degrees in this one.

Situational 📆

  • NE @ BUF - The Patriots are on back to back travel weeks

  • CLE @ CIN - The Browns play their third road game in four weeks

  • DET @ CHI - the Bears played Monday and have a shorter week of rest/prep. This marks the first time the Lions have played outdoors since week 9.

  • LAR @ NYJ - the Rams had 9 days to prep after the TNF win, but this is also their second straight week of travel heading cross country to New Jersey.

  • MIN @ SEA - Vikings played Monday and have a short week for their trip to the coast

  • JAX @ LV - the Raiders also played on Monday night and have one fewer days to prep

  • SF @ MIA - San Fran last played on TNF, extra prep and rest time here

  • TB @ DAL - Back to Back road games for the Bucs

Sunday Bets

It's a light week here with plenty of games that I can’t touch with a ten-foot pole! Still have a teaser from TNF pending with Cincy -1.5 to get it home. Otherwise just three REALLY ugly teams to bet on today (and a prop I like).

Giants +9

You can say that maybe a team is actively trying to lose games, but I’ll never argue that they’re trying to lose the cover. This is just so many points for an unknown rookie QB. The Giants’ defense has some pride left and doesn’t want to get shredded by a guy starting his first game.

Indy -3.5

Back to the well with the team that scarred my heart last week. Should be a better game for the Indianapolis defense against Mason Rudolph and one of my lowest graded offensive line units. I still make this price closer to -5 and won’t pass up an opportunity to bet against a Tennessee defense that I have falling as well.

Patriots Team Total over 16.5 -120

Maybe is takes some garbage time points (they all count the same), but this Bills defense isn’t playing well at all right now. I want to fade that somehow, but even at +14.5, I’m struggling to take the points here as the Pats defense has been equally terrible.

Bucky Irving over 62.5 rushing yards -115

Just a dream matchup after a big week against the Chargers. Indoors against what I have ranked as a historically bad run defense. Feels like a line that’s attainable in the first half if things shake out right.
