Weather ⛈

  • NY Giants @ Chicago: some chances of rain or even snow, but the main issue will be high winds. 20 mph+ sustained winds with some heavy gusts in the 30s.

  • Buffalo @ Miami: looking to be very rainy, but sporadically

  • New England @ Tampa Bay: Also some chances of heavy rain

  • Detroit @ Washington: More rain, which could be heavy at times.

  • Cleveland @ NY Jets: High chance of some rain in the Meadowlands

  • New Orleans @ Carolina: starting to look like it’ll be pretty breezy here as well, with some gusts nearing 30 mph

  • Arizona @ Seattle: decent chances of some rain

Situational 📆

  • Arizona is on a short week AND on the road for the second straight, facing Seattle after Monday night’s win vs Dallas

  • Atlanta is technically on the road for the 2nd straight, but their opponent, the Colts, are also traveling (to Germany) and also played on the road last week.

  • Baltimore has some extra rest off TNF, but also is on a back-to-back travel spot, facing Minnesota after roughing up the Dolphins

  • Cleveland is coming off the bye week, but so is their opponent, the Jets.

  • Jacksonville is playing a road game for the second straight week after last week’s OT win

  • The Saints are on a back-to-back after making the trip out to LA last week

  • Tampa Bay is coming off the bye week, hosting the Pats

Sunday Bets

Bigger card this week, but sometimes that’s just how it goes.

Pats +125

Time to finally bet on the kid in a matchup I think Maye can exploit. Not only am I lower than the market on the Bucs, but I also just don’t have very high marks for their pass defense, and I think this line should be much closer to a pick’em considering the matchups and the continued missing pieces for the Bucs offense.

Bears/Giants over 46.5

Weather be damned, these are some very lowly ranked defenses with a couple of young QBs that may not turn out to be great in the long run, but have shown enough that I think they can get it done against bottom five defenses.

Seattle -6.5 -110

A bit situational with Zona traveling again this week, but I think it’s a decent sell high spot for Brissett. He just faced the Dallas defense (likely the worst in the league) and now heads on the road to take on a divisional foe with what’s looking like a top-five unit. I haven’t even mentioned the fact that Darnold has been highly efficient and they added another weapon during the trade deadline. Hawks by a million.

NY Jets +115

I just can’t square the Browns being a road favorite, I don’t care how bad the Jets have been. I guess we’ll see how big of a step back their defense takes without Sauce and Quinnen, but this is still a road game for the worst starting QB in the league. I’m not excited to back the Jets (no one ever should be), I just think this number is incorrect.

Houston -105

Another gross one, backing Davis Mills behind a scrap head offensive line. That said, the defense absolutely should keep them in this game, and he really just needs to piece together a couple of good drives and has a pretty solid group of WRs to lean on. Another number I just think has gone too far in the wrong direction with a middling team getting too much road support.
