🍻Friday Free Bet: Free Prop Bet for London

QB Injury updates, TNF Recap, week 4 teaser leg rankings, and a free prop play

Some bigger injury updates off the top to touch one before looking back at TNF:

Deshaun Watson

Watson is saying he’s planning like he’s playing but our friend Clevta raises a good point. I really think this is going to be DTR, and the market has shifted hard today.

Cleveland -2.5 is down to a Pk, the total was 40.5 and now sits at 39.

Jimmy G

Don’t know if we see Hoyer or AOC, either way, this isn’t looking great.

Anthony Richardson

Good to go, playing Sunday. Time to see what his TD prop prices will be

Carolina

  • Bryce is going, no more Andy Dalton for now

  • RB Miles Sanders is questionable with a groin injury

  • WR Jonathan Mingo is still in the concussion protocol

  • LB Frankie Luvu is questionable, Safety Xavier Woods is OUT. Not great news for a defense with Jaycee Horn and Shaq Thompson already on the IR (and Minnesota coming to town.)

  • Nothing but Minnesota money still, out to 4.5-point road favorites now.

We talked about it for a while at halftime, Detroit is the 4th best team in the conference and has a soft schedule laid out. Outside shot of this team getting multiple home games in the playoffs if they can keep it rolling.

Fantasy folks are mad again about the Gibbs usage, but if Montgomery plays well, why force this issue with a younger player? The only knocks I’d have on Detroit were the lack of aggression with the lead in the 2nd half and a pretty poor decision right off the bat by Jared Goff on the early interception.

The pass rush was hot, nasty carnage all day and Jordan Love had happy feet and inaccurate throws, especially in the 1st half. Missing two OL didn’t help, but it was still pretty rough watching the GB offense in the 1st half.

Detroit OC Ben Johnson was masterful as usual but was aided by some really poor in-game management on the part of Green Bay. The tweet below shows them shifting to a defense that would be better served against a hail mary than at the 2-yard line (Detroit checked to run and waltzed in.)

Ineptitude on both sides of the ball and a kickoff returner refusing to just take the free yardage spelled doom for the Pack all night long.

Hat tip to Detroit, clearly the better team, but I don’t think Green Bay is dead, at least in terms of fighting for a wild card. If they can get fully healthy and clean up some of this stuff (the short week I know, but it was short for DET too!), they can salvage a season.

Betting Recap:

Not much good! Outside of LaPorta at least getting his baseline yardage prop. The Packers teaser dies, FTD gets killed by chalk on a broken coverage and somehow the 2nd half goes over on a long FG.

I should mention, that frequent YouTube Livestream commenter CanadianCapper72 came through again. Somehow always seems to find me a prop winner at halftime.

Back to battle for Sunday.

Last week got a bit weird with the Cardinals leading for most of the game, ruining the James Connor under play, but still 2-1 on the year for these Friday plays and we’ll be back at it.

This week, our friend at 4for4 is looking at the London game:

Christian Kirk over 50.5 receiving yards

Zay Jones is reportedly a “longshot” to play this week which means we will get Kirk as a near full-time player in two wide receiver sets and the slot receiver in three receiver sets that led to him running a route on 94% of Jags dropbacks last week. He played a season-high 86% of snaps last week without Zay Jones and has 51+ receiving yards in both of his last two games where he saw 80%+ of the snaps (110 & 54 receiving yards).

He now draws a prime matchup against the Falcons who are oozing production via the slot, allowing a gaudy 9.3 yards per target. Kirk still ran more than 55% of his routes from the slot last week with Jones out. With Trevor Lawrence and the Jags offense ripe for a bounceback, Kirk should be one of many beneficiaries and cruise over this number. We have him projected for 65 receiving yards and most other projections have him at 60+ as well.

Obviously, follow Connor on Twitter for more NFL betting content, and get in the 4for4 Discord if you want to see everything he’s betting each week.

Last week’s teaser legs won on dogs and failed miserably with favorites. I guess it was regression week. Eventually, the Saints flipped favorites and GB was sitting at +1.5 Sunday morning (both sides covered teasers).

This week has a couple of odd ones. Miami is in the Wong zone, but has a really high total after a very wild week. Tennessee is a nice low-totaled game, but is facing a rash of injuries still, and KC is my least favorite type of teaser leg: Big road fav against a good defense.

Week 4 Teaser Rankings (Best to Worst)

Philly is -9 at a ton of place, but listing it anyways as it IS my favorite at 8.5

Philly -8.5 vs. Washington (teased to -2.5)

Houston +2.5 vs Pittsburgh (teased to +8.5)

NY Giants +1.5 vs Seattle (teased to +7.5)

Miami +2.5 at Buffalo (teased to +8.5)

KC -8.5 at NY Jets (teased to -2.5)

Tennessee +2.5 vs Cincinnati (teased to +8.5)

I’ll check back in on Sunday morning with the bets for the week, good luck if you’re betting on college/Ryder Cup/Baseball.

What’s on the Docket for Sunday? (OUT EARLIER DUE TO LONDON)

Updated Injuries that matter, ALL of my bets for the day, a free defensive tackle prop from Noonan (won last week, again), and anything else I think might help on gameday.
