Week 5 NFL Bets
Injuries, Updates, Sides, Totals, Teasers. Let's watch football all day.

News 📰
- In case you missed it: Former NFL QB Mark Sanchez was stabbed, hospitalized, and arrested yesterday.
- Some coaches were asked about the rash of blocked kicks this season; they’ve got some theories.
- AD Mitchell’s role may be lessened after some huge mistakes last week.
Injuries 🤕
- The Ravens are beat up badly. In addition to Lamar Jackson being out, there’s now a chance that Kyle Hamilton is added to the list of defensive players missing the game for Baltimore.
- Jayden Daniels is back for the Commanders this week after missing two weeks with a sprained knee.
- Bucky Irving is dealing with a foot sprain and may miss some time. He’s out this week for the Bucs.
- Brock Bowers is now looking like he’ll be out for the Raiders this week. After the team assured us that he could still play despite missing practice, they are now reversing course as it appears he’ll be out vs the Colts.
- Carolina RB Chuba Hubbard is out this week with a calf injury.
- With all the offensive line injuries for Minnesota, they will turn to Blake Brandel to make his first-ever start at the center position today. They will also have fill-ins at RT and LG due to injuries.
- Giants DT Dexter Lawrence missed practice all week with what’s being called a “serious illness”. His status is up in the air for today.
- Tennessee RB Tyjae Spears is expected to suit up this week after being activated off the IR. WR Calvin Ridley is questionable, but “on track” to play.
- Taysom Hill is expected to make his season debut for the Saints after he missed the start of the season recovering from a torn ACL

Weather ⛈
Another week where very little weather will affect the games. The only city where precipitation is almost certainly going to occur is New Orleans. So, unless that roof is leaking, it’s going to be a quiet week for the sports meteorlogists.
- There will be heavy winds and strong gusts in the London game. That said, the stadium’s opening doesn’t appear to be big enough for that sort of thing to matter, in my opinion.
Situational 📆
- The Vikings have a distinct rest/travel advantage in London, having played last week in Ireland.
- Miami is on a short week versus the Panthers, coming off the MNF win. The same goes for the Jets hosting the Cowboys, the Broncos heading to Philly, and the Bengals playing at home versus Detroit.
- Arizona and Seattle both have extra rest off TNF and will play at home this week.
- Buffalo hosts their third straight game and fourth in five weeks. In fact, their only travel so far has just been down to the Meadowlands to play the Jets.
- Another thing to keep an eye on: Denver is playing their third road game in four weeks and has an international trip ahead of them next week.
- Tennessee is on a back-to-back travel spot, heading to Arizona after last week’s shutout at the hands of Houston.
- The Commanders are traveling for the second straight week, as they head to LA after last week’s game in Atlanta.

Not a very heavy week, but there’s always time for live betting, and we’ll undoubtedly be looking to keep the 2nd half hot streak rolling at halftime of Bills/Pats tonight.
Vikings 1st Half -2.5 -106
Just (trying) to take advantage of the tiny trend we’ve seen in teams that have gotten to stay in Europe for two weeks versus the team that’s traveling over that week. It’s scary baking Carson Wentz behind a cobbled-together O-Line, but this is just another mark against Dillon Gabriel, making his first-ever start under some weird circumstances.
Cowboys/Jets over 48
Two bottom-five defenses for me. Even if this starts slow, the opportunities for quick strike points at the end of the half or as the game winds down mean this number is always going to be attainable. May even catch me double-dipping live if we end up with a slow start.
Lions Team Total over 29.5 -115
It’s a considerable number to hit, but this is my third-ranked offense going up against a bottom-five defense right now. Furthermore, it’s more than likely we continue to see some turnovers from the Cincy offense, hopefully leading to some short fields. Detroit may be able to just play ball control all 2nd half and still get this home before we hit the fourth quarter.
A nice basic strategy/Wong teaser spot for two teams with rest advantages at home this week. I’m pretty much on market for both of these games at the moment, but think it’s time to start employing more teasers as we are now a little more sure of what teams are. The high total may scare some in the SNF game, but all I see is my number one rated offense going up against a Pats squad that has only kept one team under 20 points all year.
Props
I’ll once again just be relying on the kindness of others (tailing the 4for4 guys) and using the SharpStack tool to jam +EV unders in all morning as they pop up. Screenshot from last week went 2-1 for a small win, so in the interest of keeping that rolling, here are some of the better edges that are showing for me at this very moment.

You can try the tool out yourself for FREE for 7 days if you’d like. After that, we still have some nice discounts. You can use the promo code DEEPDIVE to get 25% off any plan you’d like.
Still want an opinion on a game? We went over all of Sunday’s actions in this week’s live stream. Time stamps in the video allow you to jump to whichever game you’d like!
One last thing, do me a favor and forward this email to someone you think may like a little more football in their life.
