📊 Week 14 Early NFL Line Moves

Plus a look at the tight MVP race and some final thoughts on week 13

Maybe a little biased with some Jags futures hanging out there, but man do I hope this is just a sprain and not something structural for Trevor Lawrence. Quarterbacks are already a scarce resource and for the sake of the product, I don’t think I can stomach another season-ending injury.

I don’t think anyone saw that coming from Jake Browning. It’s been a defense that’s struggled at times, but he had a massive day. Efficient AF and in big heaping helpings. I posited that he’d likely be able to move the ball if the game plan was just taking what the defense gives you underneath with Chase and Mixon, but he was able to attack the entire field with success.

The injury to Lawrence is massive, but on top of it, they lost Walker Little to a hamstring injury, he was already filling in as the backup tackle. We’ll also have to see the statuses of Christian Kirk (groin) and Tre Herndon (concussion) as the week progresses.

Looking forward, suddenly the AFC South division crown is back in doubt even after the win over the Texans last week.

Betting props went 1-1 and I feel like I deserved better, although it was fun to see the Kirk longest reception come through so fast. Ridley had his chances, seeing eight targets. He did end up with a long pass called back on a holding penalty which hurt even more.

Halftime live-stream bets bounced back with an easy-peasy over as well.

Taking a peek at some of the bigger moves that we’ve already seen early in the week. Let’s start with the adjustment we saw for the Jaguars next matchup:

Jacksonville was slated to be a three-point road favorite on Sunday with a total of around 37. This morning we saw the Flacco-led Browns reopen at -1.5 with a total down to 31 (the weather isn’t going to be great either).
