Week 13 NFL Power Ratings

The Rams will continue to dominate until morale improves

In partnership with

A bit of a shorter one this week, with some travel and shopping getting in the way of what I actually enjoy (fiddling with my power ratings). That said, not too much of a shake-up on top this week. Obviously, the Rams need to get their flowers on both sides of the ball.

Some thoughts, musings, and unanswered questions that need answering:

  • Biggest moves of the week: Houston and Cincy getting bumps for the QBs returning

  • Jaxson Dart is likely an upgrade, but what if they limit his running?

  • Max Brosmer is a big unknown, but if he does have the ability and the mettle, I have to assume the combo of his OC/WR1 is enough to keep the Vikings competitive.

  • Will Matthew Stafford ever turn the ball over again?

  • Can the Chiefs bottle what they had in the 4th quarter last week and run that back a few more times?

  • Josh Allen looks like he hates it in Buffalo, not in the normal way due to the weather, but in the way that the surrounding talent and game plans are driving him nuts.

  • Green Bay and Philly, on paper, look quite a bit different from how they play in real life most weeks, which is aggravating. Putting together a complete game is a big ask for any team, I suppose.

  • Shadeur doesn’t play a tough defense for a while to start his career. Outside of just plain making him look better, maybe this is also a nice way to help him acclimate himself to NFL speed.

  • How much does a broken arm matter to a QB when he throws with the other hand? (AR12)

  • Same question, but now with an AC joint. (BakeShow)

  • The Bears aren’t great, but they are better than some rating systems are giving them credit for. I’m going to be very mad if they embarrass me in a standalone game on Friday.

Have a great Thanksgiving, have fun updating your ratings, best of luck on your bets, and stay safe!
