🍺Friday Free Bet: Prop Bet for Texans/Colts

Trying to sort out the cluster injuries around the league, a look at the teaser legs for this weekend and of course, Connor's prop for Saturday night

I’ll admit I was a bit lost without Thursday Night Football last night. Sure, golf from Hawaii being on helped a bit, but with no Monday game last week either, this is a massive gap between football, one we haven’t seen since before the season. Luckily we have the standalone games tomorrow, which of course means an extra newsletter digging in on those games a bit tomorrow morning.

Connor is STILL somehow on vacation, but like a real mensch, has been taking all of my questions and even doing shows/meetings from a hotel room. I bugged him extra early this morning and our friend at 4for4 gave me a prop for the Saturday night game:

Nico Collins over 71.5 receiving yards -114

We bet Nico's over last week and are going back to the well again in a must-win game against the Colts. He will have minimal to no target competition here with Tank Dell out, while both Robert Woods and Noah Brown are not looking good to play here as well. On top of his nearly 30% target per route run rate without Tank Dell this season, Nico will benefit from the Colts playing the highest rate of Cover-3 in the league. Nico is averaging over 3 yards per route run this season (top-10 in the league) and when these teams met last, Nico went for 146 yards on 7 receptions.

I get that this number seems high but everything is pointing towards another big game for Nico and I thought it would be in the mid-high 70's. I hate laying more than -120 juice on yards so I would look to play an alt at 80+ on Nico if you only have DraftKings which is showing a 70.5 at -140.

Obviously, follow Connor on Twitter for more NFL betting content, and get in the 4for4 Discord if you want to see everything he’s betting each week.

Again, WHILE ONE VACATION, Connor will be giving us some more props live on the YouTubes with Ryan and Slop this afternoon. Worth checking out in a weird week.

So many meaningful injuries in key spots that a few teams are getting their own sub-heading. My afternoon will be tracking Friday injury reports with golf on in the background.

  • Will Levis was limited Thursday ahead of this week’s game vs the Jags

  • Baker Mayfield is a full go according to Todd Bowles

  • DeVonta Smith and CB Darius Slay both missed Friday's Practice, not a good sign for Sunday's availability vs the G-Men

  • The Seahawks saw KWII return as a limited participant Thursday but still have a handful of defenders (along with OT Abe Lucas) not practicing ahead of a must-win game.

  • Josh Jacobs did not practice on Thursday. If he doesn’t get reps in later today, I’m thinking he’s likely out again

  • Denver: Courtland Sutton is still in concussion protocol but is getting reps. May play on Sunday. His teammate Marvin Mims was also limited. Mike McGlinchey DNP on Thursday and his status is very much in doubt.

  • Ja’Marr Chase is practicing and looks to play, we’ll see on Tee Higgins.

  • The Vikings had a bit of a laundry list of DNPs on Thursday including both starting tackles and a couple of CBs.

  • Jameson Williams is unlikely to play versus Minnesota (ankle & illness). DT Alim McNeill is back and will play for Detroit this weekend.

I made last week’s rankings red so that the green would really stand out today, and the Eagles robbed me.

Not only that, but I threw the Falcons into a teaser since I “didn’t want to just bet Green Bay twice” for the newsletter. The Saints and Packers win outright with ease. The Falcons look like hell. Of course.

Another light week and an outside shot at a Saturday-only home team dog teaser if the Baltimore steam keeps coming. I may do it anyway to add to my misery with one extra bet on the Ravens to sweat in the afternoon. A couple are close and may possibly find their way into some teaser areas:

Keep an eye on: Cincy -7 and Chicago +3 as a couple that may end up moving a touch before game time.

Week 18 Teaser Rankings (Best to Worst)

Indianapolis +1.5 vs Houston (teased to +7.5)

Denver +2.5 at Las Vegas (teased to +8.5)

New York Jets +2 at New England (teased to +8)

Miami +2.5 vs Buffalo (teased to +8.5)

Like I said, I’ll check back in tomorrow with some breakdowns of the Saturday games, as well as anything I’m betting on. Have a great Friday.
