šŸŗFriday Free Bet: Prop Bet for Jets/Raiders

A recap of the BIG Bears win, a look ahead at a sparse teaser week and of course a free prop play from Connor

Cole Kmet comes through for me! It did take until the 4th quarter but, five catches on seven targets for 45 yards and a double-dip winner on his receptions and yardage props. The Bears getting two red zone possessions was fun, but the Bagent ATTD got sniped by the starting RB I refused to bet. Still, a winning night is a winning night.

I donā€™t want to spend a ton of time on this one, not just because it was bad, but because I donā€™t think there were really any surprises.

The Bearsā€™ defense played a pretty good game, they only gave up six points. Going in we knew they were on the come up and the Panthers were having very little success on the ground; it was going to come down to Bryce Young if the Panthers wanted to pull off the upset. Not the recipe you wanna go with, but it is what it is.

Bryce did have one pretty nice sideline throw to Mike Strachan, but the rest of the game was pretty rough even against a Bears pass rush that is still struggling to convert pressure into sacks (they did get three last night!)

In the end that 45-yard pass ended up being nearly a quarter of the total offense for the night. That drive and the later series that began at the Bears 40 yard line both ending in FGs were a nice microcosm for the 2023 Panthers offense. Even when they find a rare big play or are gifted some good field position, they canā€™t capitalize.

Sweat had a nice day and should continue to help this Bearsā€™ front line, and again they looked really stingy against the run. Neither team really got much going on the ground, but the Bears limited Carolina to just 2.7 yards per rush on 16 total carries.

The two teams combined to go 9-30 on third downs and both rookies threw some incredibly bad passes. It was never going to be a good game, I guess at least we had the punt return excitement.

Nice small bet winner at halftime as we tailed a sharp friend on the 2nd half under 19 on the halftime stream. The Bears getting a TD midway through the 3rd quarter had me a touch worried, but seeing the other five drives that filled out the 3rd go for a combined 26 yards and five punts was a comfort.

And just because I havenā€™t really said anything nice yet, hereā€™s a good clip of some solid pass rush pickup by the new RoJo:

Fading the Raidersā€™ Defense This Week

As is Friday tradition, I wait for a Slack message from Connor giving me a prop to help fill up the Friday newsletter. Little shocked when it finally came and it was an over rather than his usual fade of a player, but Iā€™m all for this one, the Raidersā€™ run defense is laughably bad.

Breece Hall over 63.5 rushing yards -115

From Connor:

ā€œI not only like the over but ladders as well. Breece has seen 20 touches per game since Robert Saleh said they are letting Breece loose and now he draws one of the best matchups imaginable. The Las Vegas Raiders run defense has been truly pathetic no matter how you slice it. They are 30th in rushing success rate allowed, 4.65 yards per carry to opposing RBs, and are top-7 in % of runs to gain 1,3,5, and 10 yards.

They have allowed 8 running backs to clear 65 rushing yards already, four to clear 90, and two to clear 100. This includes absolute dustballs like Craig Reynolds (74), AJ Dillon (76), Joshua Kelley (65), and Najee Harris (65).ā€

Obviously, follow Connor on Twitter for more NFL betting content, and get in the 4for4 Discord if you want to see everything heā€™s betting each week.

More Free Prop Plays

Three prop bettors, a couple of free plays each. There should be at least a half dozen more given out this afternoon over on the 4for4 Bets YouTube if you want to fill out that Sunday card with some prop plays:

VERY light teaser week coming up here. Lots of games lined just below seven or just above three ruins it, but I should have a pretty full card of bets regardless (out early on Sunday since we have German-ball again).

Last weekā€™s Panthers/Giants teaser was very cursed. A torn ACL and two pick-sixes ruining a decent spot indeed. Very mixed bag as the Browns -8 was a banger, it just didnā€™t exist for all that long with heavy steam coming in and pushing that well past 10. New Orleans, the Bills, and the Phins got their teaser legs home, not comfortably, but still.

I somehow picked the two legs in the whole thing that died. Good.

Week 10 Teaser Rankings (Best to Worst)

Not in love with any of these, but Kyler being back and at home matters a ton versus a team thatā€™s a bit messy right now. The Denver defense is rounding into form, but itā€™s a road game and Buffalo has some nice matchup advantages here, keep an eye on the defensive injuries for Buffalo before going nuts there though.

Arizona +2 vs Atlanta (teased to +8)

Buffalo -7.5 vs Denver (teased to -1.5)

New England +2 vs Indy (teased to +8) IN GERMANY

Whatā€™s on the Docket for Sunday?

  • A free defensive player prop from Noonan
